OUR LEADERSHIP
Timothy Conway, Pastor
|
Tim was previously
an elder at Community Baptist Church in Elmendorf, Texas before
being sent out with eleven other members to form Southside Grace
Church, which would later be called Grace Community Church.
Tim was the first pastor of Grace Community Church. His desire for the church
is:
O Lord, my passion is that
we would be an aggressively God-loving, Bible saturated, Spirit-filled,
racially diverse church that would seek relentlessly to know
and proclaim the excellencies of Christ for the glory of God and
the joy of all people. Help us keep our first love, help us
strive to obey the great commission to go into all the world boldly
preaching the Gospel and making disciples, and help us to search
out the needy, the orphans and the widows as Christ Himself
instructed us and showed us by His perfect life.

along with Matt as the first deacons of our young church. Carlos
expresses his passion with:
My desire is that I would
Love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with

Matt Haney, Deacon
|
Matt joined Grace Community
Church with his wife Priscilla on May 4th, 2003, and quickly
proved himself as a gifted and reliable young man. On September 7th
of 2003, Matt was chosen from among his brethren to serve as one
of our church's two first deacons. Matt expresses his burden in his
own words:
My hope is that God would
grant us the grace to be a Christ-saturated people that are
inundated with glorifying and exalting Him through: cherishing and
meditating on His Word, treasuring and obeying His commandments,
preaching and teaching that manifests the power of God, giving
and sharing that is sacrificial, burdens and desires that overflow
into prayer, worship and testimonies that honor Him from the
heart, as well as funding and becoming missionaries among the
nations. If He would build us into a God-conscious people that
wrestle with Him like Jacob over the renown of His name among
those on the East side of San Antonio and those yet unreached throughout
the earth, my heart would rejoice!
